Finally did something I’ve talked about doing for years and years and years – photographing the national fireworks show! Scoped out a great spot last week along the Mt. Vernon Trail on the Virginia side of the Potomac with a good lineup of the monuments, showed up early with my wonderful wife and enjoyed a great show! Happy Birthday, America! It was a beautiful day by DC summer standards – in the nineties but low humidity, and not a cloud in the sky. The power boats and kayaks were all out and made for great subjects.
